Alpha Introduction

If you are interested in finding out about Alpha then why not come along to our Alpha Introduction evening. Enjoy a free meal and find out why nearly four million people have attended an Alpha course in the UK. Contact our Church Office for more details.

What is Alpha?

  • It's low key, friendly and fun. And it's supported by all the main Christian denominations.
  • You're not on your own either. More than 3 million people worldwide have found it a worthwhile experience.
  • There are more than 7000 Alpha courses running in churches of all denominations in the UK
  • Alpha has been featured in an ITV series hosted by Sir David Frost

What's involved?

  • The Alpha course consists of a series of talks looking at topics such as "Who is Jesus?" and "Why and how do I pray?"
  • There is a meal together at the beginning of each session, which gives you an opportunity to get to know each other.
  • After each talk we divide into small groups for a time of discussion.
  • Listen, learn, discuss and discover. And ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.
  • Finish by 9.30pm.

Who is it for?

  • Those wanting to investigate Christianity
  • New Christians
  • Newcomers to the church
  • Those who want to brush up on the basics

How much?

  • There is no charge for the Alpha course
