Alpha Course Autumn 2006
For this year's Alpha Course, we had 26 very committed guests. This year, Martin Roberts took over from Dave as spiritual leader of the Course; and as last year, shared the talks with Dave and Gay Nichols. The live presentations were as always appreciated by the guests.
To cope with these numbers, including catering for nearly 70 on occasion, we have been blessed with the enthusiastic support of nearly 70 church members, including two House-Groups.
On the last night, Wednesday, December 6th, we had three thrilling testimonies in the midst of a splendid celebration party which included 10 guests invited by our guests! Since then, we have been heartened by the responses to our questionnaire.
All were very appreciative of the warmth of welcome, fellowship, and food (!) in St Johns. Several came to Christ or renewed their faith during the Course and requested baptism and or confirmation; some have already started coming regularly to Sunday Services and have signed up for Small Groups. Several have volunteered to help at next year's Alpha Course!
