Another Challenging Week!

The Lord has blessed us with another great week at FORM.  Andrew Lord's teaching on 'Worship' challenged us in many ways, addressing how we worship God with all of our lives and not merely singing a few hymns.  It was great to understand the biblical view and how it should apply to our daily act of worship  - Andrew presented a helpful picture of a torn heart with a plaster representing how we should come before God as broken people, worshipping Him for His goodness, greatness, love and mercy and then allowing God to repair us in His image - this illustration was very powerful and for me summed up 'true' worship.

For the afternoon session, Pat House gave a wonderful talk and testimony on her on walk with God, which certainly had an impact on me, and hopefully all the other students - I love hearing personal testimonies; it's great to hear how the Lord touches the lives of people around us, as it increases our trust and faith in Him.

We also have adopted a FORM dog !  Claire Ling brings in her lovely black labrador - he's seems very attentive and even rolled on his back with his legs in the air when Pat commenced her meditative prayer exercise !

Today was challenging in other ways - we spent time with Kevin, Youth Work Manager at Just42 who explained the positive and negative challenges with youth work.  It was quite an eye opener and massively beneficial to hear if youth work is something Helen or David wish to pursue in the future.  After Just42, we made our way to Sutton Hoo Farm, where Graham Allen (Mr Photographer)  took us on a walk to capture some of the beautiful countryside...oh and some pictures of us!  I thought sitting on a tree would  make the ideal fun FORM shot, but realised that Helen and David guaged the instability of the branch more accurately than me, and in the process of jumping off I managed to rip my jeans !  Anyway, we had a good tour of the place with our expert photographer and apparently past 'tour guide' of Sutton Hoo Farm, so all in all it rounded the day off nicely.  We'll be posting some of the photos soon on the website...hopefully jeans intact!
