Enjoyed a day's visit to All Hallow's Ditchingham with Ivan, David and Helen. Sister Barbara gave us a tour of the Convent - didn't see many nuns floating around, just a very friendly gardener ! It was a taste of a prayerful spiritual life - the place was very quiet and peaceful and when we met people we felt we ought to whisper, until they told us to speak up! We're planning our retreat to be at All Hallows, so it was good to see the place and plan our retreat around the various chapel services. Ivan's keen for everyone to attend the 7am short service - now that's spiritual discipline ! I think I'll wait for the 9.30am service - in the word's of Sister Barbara "a retreat has treat in it" !
